My Story…

Hey thanks so much for visiting. Hard to know where to begin with something so vague as "About." I'll give it a go!

Hummmmm…well I spent 20 years in corporate America before busting out in 2001. Since then I've made so many amazing and wonderful discoveries "about" me, life, relationships, what I love, what I don't, what I'm good and great at and what I choose to do about it all!

A couple years ago I decided I wanted to make some better-informed choices about the products I use on and in my body and in my home. I started small by swapping out all the light bulbs in my home for the more efficient ones. Next I did some cleaning out in the garage and began taking paint and old cleaning products to the hazardous materials disposal events they feature from time to time in my area. Those changes felt so good I kept it going and continued to look around for my next targets. The personal care products, cleaning products and food products caught my eye. And finally my cosmetics got the boot! It was great timing, actually, the brand that I used for years (they have the enticing "bonus" gifts several times a year) kept discontinuing the products I used. So, they lost me and my gaze and money went elsewhere.

You can see how all this was a process for me. I was learning and doing as I went along. I couldn't be more pleased with the changes I made and what I learned and continue to learn. It just keeps getting better. Sharing my experiences and processes with others is how I keep the flow in motion. And, it's so fun to see the excitement that comes over people when they start making healthier choices for their lives. I love contributing to that.

Other Stuff About Me:

  • Education: Iowa State University – B.A. Speech Communication (let's just say a while ago!)
  • For Fun: Golf, traveling, being active, shopping, learning new stuff, doing what I love, being creative and a bunch more stuff!
  • Favorite TV Show: Boston Legal (I love the witty dialogue, the characters and the "hot" topics they tackle and in doing so how they educate viewers.)
  • Advice: Be your best and if you need help, figuring out what that means, get it!
  • Lesson Learned: Experience is an awesome teacher.

OK – nuff about me. That's the net!

Being your best doesn't have to be overwhelming. (Says…me)

Enjoy!
